If you are about to start looking for a new carpet, you may find the following tips useful…

Measure your room

Bring approximate room sizes with you (length x width). There is no need to be too accurate at this stage, as we will always call out to check your sizes, but we will be pleased to provide you with a guide price, based on your measurements, for any carpets you like in our showroom.

Room colours

Bring colour samples with you. You will find it is almost impossible to carry exact colours in your memory, so to help quickly find the shades you need, bring along anything which has your room colours, such as:

If you have a little paint left over, after decorating, use it to paint a small piece of card or wood. Bring this, instead of the colour charts supplied by the paint manufacturers. You will find the slightly larger block of colour gives a much better idea of the shade.

Curtain fabric

If you don't have an offcut of your curtain fabric, maybe you could bring a tie-back with you?

Furniture fabric

If your furniture has loose cushions that are not too big, bring one along, if you can. Anything that’s the right shade!

If you don't have any of the above, if you can find anything (a few strands of wool, or a cutting of fabric etc.) that’s in the colour you need, bring it with you.

Plain or Patterned?

Giving a little thought to the basic style of carpet you want, before you go shopping, is always a good idea. However, we find that many customers discover designs or colours in our showrooms, that make them re-think their original decorating schemes, so don’t spend too much time planning, before you have seen the wonderful ranges now available.

Shop at home

If you would find it more convenient to see a good selection of samples at home, we will be delighted to visit you with some examples of our beautiful carpets. Just give us a ring, or email us.
