Since 1963, Dalkard & Elliott carpets Leicester have been regarded as one of the best family carpet businesses in the Midlands. Steve and Stuart Elliott now run the business from the showroom on Aylestone Lane Leicester.
The shop is at the top of Shackerdale Road where is meets the Aylestone Lane. There is free and easy customer parking and wheelchair access is directly off the main car park. So, parking is hassle free.
Dalkard & Elliott’s carpet business was established by Kenneth and Nina Elliott at 100 Granby Street Leicester.
Where Dalkard & Elliott began
The original shop was at 100 Granby Street in Unicoat House. Right next door to the Barley Mow public house. First of all, Kenneth & Nina Elliott had set about creating a carpet business of which he and Nina could be very proud. Because of the hard work and dedication, each of Ken and Nina’s four sons have been able to work in Dalkard & Elliott Leicester carpets.
Unfortunately, Ken died in 1980. However, his four sons and Nina were all in the business at that time and as a result were able to carry on and expand on the success which he had created.
Expansion
Because of everyone’s efforts Dalkard & Elliott carpets have successfully expanded into new products. As a result, made to measure curtains, window blinds, Luxury Vinyl Tiles, beds and mattresses all form part of d&e’s portfolio. I am sure that Kenneth Elliott would consequently be very proud of everything that has been achieved.
